Transformation from truncated octahedron to a closed spidron polyhedron. The transformation is based on the spriral folding structure which is applied on the hexagonal faces of the truncated octahedron.
This folding structure was an invention by Dániel Erdély which he called 'spidron'. In 2004 I helped him to develop his concept and found this transformation. The transformation can be extended to an infinite dynamic 3D structure by connecting other open truncated octahedra at the square openings of the first one, as can be seen in the pictures below.
